

The ANNUAL REPORTS event series is opening a forum for international perspectives in the German communication landscape. For the eighth time HGB is displaying the largest exhibit of international business reports featuring approx. 200 award-winning works and the winner of this year's ARC AWARD / New York. High-class reports from all over the world allow for a look beyond the immediate horizon and deliver an impulse for unconventional ways. The conference day and opening day of the exhibit of international award-winning business reports took place on the 23rd of September, 2010.
The motto for this year's conference and exhibit is, "Back to the future." Re-discovering old values in light of the following questions: Shareholder and stakeholder value: How can companies combine these at times very differing concepts while securing the trustworthiness of their company and financial communication? What does "corporate responsibility" mean for the leadership agenda in global enterprises? How do companies need to communicate with regards to sustainability issues in order to reach analysts and investors? How can the business report also be a responsibility report and is a sustainability report then even necessary?
As in previous years, a round of interesting lectures had been held by renowned entrepreneurs and experts such as futurologist Matthias Horx, media scientist Norbert Bolz, as well as the head of communications at Deutsche Post (German postal service), Dr. Christof Ehrhart, await.
